Fieldrunners. My new addiction.

For the past week I’ve been addicted to a game on the iPod called Fieldrunners. The aim of the game is to stop the games characters running from one side of the screen to the other by placing denfensive towers on to the field. Sounds easy but it’s not. There are four different types of towers that are mounted with different weapons and cost different amounts, you earn money by killing the fieldrunners. Theres quite a skill in the placement of the different types of towers. Working out various placement patterns is what make this game fun and replayable.

Firmware problems with iPod Touch

I couldn’t get my iPod touch to download the latest firmware 2.0.1 probably because I hacked the 2.0 firmware onto it last month. I found the solution, it’s really easy and I didn’t have to paid the £5.99 fee for the 2.0 firmware.

Connect your iPod touch to your running iTunes. Make sure it shows up in iTunes.
Make sure your iPod is showing its your home screen (it’s not in Recovery Mode.)
Press and hold-down both the Power and Home buttons, on the touch they are the only buttons.
Release the Power button when you see the iPod disconnects and disappears from iTunes. This takes place in about 10 seconds. The iPod’s screen is blank.
Release the Home button when you see the iPod re-connects and re-appears in iTunes. Again this happens in about 10 seconds. The screen is still blank until the iPod reconnects you start the actual restore process.

WordPress iPod touch app

This is just a quick test to see if the new WordPress iPod app from the also new Apple app store works. So far it seems very easy to use and typing on the touch keyboard isn’t proving to hard. I think I’ll use this again!
